The armature of fresh Pussy Willow forms a cage within which the flowers are shaped into a graceful, abstract from. All stems are woven through the cage to reach the water source.
Because all the flowers are in fresh water and the flower blooms are compact within the arrangement, this is a very long lasting arrangement. The flowers were chosen for thier ability to dry, looking very close to how they appear in the fresh arrangement...
Another armature, this one constructed of Yellow Twig Dogwood and featuring Pink Ice Protea, blue Hydrangea, yellow Acacia, "Cherry Brandy" Roses, green Hypericum berry, fragrant Lemonade Bush, and graceful Italian Ruscus... final arrangement was over 5' wide, displayed in a 20" stemmed goblet vase.
